The IBHS (International Branded Hotels of Shanghai) Annual General Meeting was held at Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Pudong Shanghai on July 13th, 2010. Christophe Lajus, General Manager of Crowne Plaza Shangahi Fudan was elected as Chairman of IBHS and Peter J. Hierzi, General Manager of Ramada Pudong Airport Shanghai as Vice Chairman as well as another 8 members to the executive board for the year 2010-2011.

IBHS represents some of the best 4 and 5 star international hotels in Shanghai with 78 hotels and over 28,000 rooms. IBHS is a division of the Shanghai Hotel Industry Association. IBHS Cheque Presentation

On April 13, 2010, the IBHS (International Branded Hotels of Shanghai) held a cheque presentation at InterContinetal Pudong Shanghai and donated RMB 100,000 to Miafan MaMa volunteers, whose main mission is to improve the life of the children at Lao Wang’s Orphanage in Anhui Province by assisting with the program in supplying milk powder, rice and other food items for the smaller children.

IBHS Members Met Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration

On February 26, 2010, Executive Board members of IBHS (International Branded Hotels of Shanghai) met the chairman and vice chairman of Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration and celebrate the Chinese New Year together.

The IBHS (International Branded Hotels of Shanghai) represents some of the best 4 and 5 star international hotels in Shanghai with 74 hotels and over 28,000 rooms. The IBHS is a division of the Shanghai Hotel Industry Association. IBHS Fellowship Bowling Awards Ceremony

On January 28, 2010, the 3rd IBHS (International Branded Hotels of Shanghai) Fellowship Bowling Awards Ceremony was held at the Regal International East Asia Hotel. Sofitel Jinjiang Oriental Pudong won the championship as well as the “Best Dress Team” award.

The 6th IBHS Charity Golf Tournament

For the sixth consecutive year, the annual IBHS Charity Golf Tournament was held at the Crowne Plaza Lake Malaren Shanghai on Friday, November 6, 2009. Last year, over 200,000 RMB were raised to be topped by 300, 000 RMB this year. The total amount of 500, 000 RMB will be donated to the Shanghai Charity Foundation and Children’s Hospital of Fudan University for the families who are unable to pay for the treatment of their children both from Shanghai and other parts of China.

The 4th IBHS (International Branded Hotels Shanghai) Karaoke competition was successfully held in the Lyceum Theatre with more than 30 participations from some of Shanghai’s leading 4 and 5 star hotels. Mr. William Hall (R6), Chairman of IBHS & General Manager of Hotel Equatorial Shanghai, competition organizer, Mr. Dominic Brennan (R7), General Manager of Crowne Plaza Century Park Shanghai and Mr. Christophe Lajus General Manager of Crowne Plaza Fudan Shanghai (R5), Mr. Otto Kurzendorfer, General Manager of Holiday Inn Vista(L6) awarded the 3 winners and 9 finalists.
